Solutions · Truck parking

A secure truck park that runs itself

Subscribed haulage companies enter automatically by plate. One-off trucks pay for the overnight stay on exit. Every pass stays in the log. Rivikon recognises every truck by its plate and decides who enters - 24/7, without a guard at the barrier.

The challenge

A truck park has two flows and one constant concern - security

Standing subscribers and occasional trucks for the night - each with different permissions. And at night, when there is no attendant, someone has to decide who enters and keep a trace of who was inside.

Without Rivikon

The guard opens it by hand

  • A truck waits at the barrier at night for someone to come
  • One-off trucks stay overnight for free - lost revenue
  • No trace of which truck entered and left, and when
  • Subscriptions are kept in a notebook and over the phone
With Rivikon

The system tells the flow apart itself

  • A subscriber → automatic access by plate, around the clock
  • A one-off truck → a paid overnight stay with a fee on exit
  • The log shows plate, date and time at every pass
  • A whole fleet in the whitelist, managed from the dashboard
How it helps

Built for freight sites

Reads trucks and trailers

The ANPR camera recognises Bulgarian and European plates of goods vehicles day and night, set for the height of the cab. Cyrillic and Latin are matched automatically.

Subscribers and haulage companies

A whole fleet in the whitelist - drivers pass automatically by plate. One company, one record with several plates, and the subscription period is managed from the dashboard.

Paid overnight for one-offs

Trucks without a subscription pay by tariff - per hour or per night - on exit. A new revenue stream, with no guard collecting cash by hand. A short stop passes within a grace period.

24/7 without an attendant

The decision is made locally by the Rivikon SmartBridge - the barrier works around the clock, even when the internet goes down. No one gets up at night to let a truck in.

Security and a full log

Every pass is logged by plate with date and time. In a dispute, an inspection or an incident there is a clear trace of which vehicle was on site - important for high-value cargo and fuel.

Occupancy and revenue in real time

Free spaces, occupancy and revenue - on your phone. With several sites: one system, shared reports for all locations, while each operator sees only their own car park.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions about truck parking

If you can't find your question - write to us and you'll get an answer very soon.

Does the system read the plates of trucks and trailers?

Yes. The ANPR camera recognises Bulgarian and European plates of heavy goods vehicles day and night, and its position is set for the height of the cab. Cyrillic and Latin are matched automatically (СА = CA), so a foreign truck doesn't stay unrecognised.

How are one-off stays and overnight parking charged?

By tariff - per hour or per night, which you set. Payment is on exit or in advance, and a short stop passes within a grace period with no fee. Outside trucks become a new revenue stream, with no attendant collecting cash by hand.

How do I manage subscribers and haulage companies?

A whole fleet goes into the whitelist and drivers pass automatically by plate. One haulage company can be a single record with several plates, while permissions and the subscription period are managed from the cloud dashboard.

Does the car park work without an attendant and without internet?

Yes. The access decision is made locally by the Rivikon SmartBridge device, so the barrier works 24/7 even when the internet goes down. Records sync to the cloud as soon as the connection is restored.

Is there a trace of which truck entered and left, and when?

Yes. Every pass is logged by licence plate with date and time. The log is useful in a dispute, an inspection or an incident - there is always a clear trace of which vehicle was on site and when.
