How plate recognition works at a hotel

A camera at the entrance reads the licence plate in under a second and the system decides on its own:

Guest with a reservation - at check-in the front desk enters the car’s plate and the guest gets access for the whole stay. No card, no phone call - the barrier simply opens.
Staff - on a permanent allowed-vehicles list.
Outside vehicle - either it does not get in, or it enters as a paying customer and owes a fee at the exit. Your choice.

What equipment it takes

Surprisingly little: a licence plate recognition (ANPR) camera, a Rivikon SmartBridge device, a relay connection to your existing barrier, an intercom and an LED display at the entrance.
